The light went out
The murmurs of halfhearted sounds echo
through the white tiled walls, flying
to the ears of the sleepy angels above our heads
Their faces smiling, but I wouldn't know
Because all I see is you, and all I remember is
We have survived thirteen summers
We met under the arch of leaves, and we
caught a glimpse of daylight that came through
Around the rain of colors and the scent of hundreds of flowers
When we talked for the first time,
sang together for the first time,
danced together for the first time,
fought over something and screamed our lungs out
